Trilateral summit in Sharm el-Sheik scheduled for Thursday

(IsraelWire-3/8) Israel Radio is reporting that Prime Minister Ehud Barak and PLO Authority (PA)
Chairman Yassir Arafat will be meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Sharm el-Sheik
on Thursday.

PA officials are reporting that a deal has been reached regarding the intermediate stage of Oslo. According to
PA officials, in April, Israel will implement a 6.1 percent land withdrawal. The PA will choose areas from 10 percent of lands presented by Israel. In May, the framework agreement for the final status would be accomplished and the third Israeli land withdrawal would take place no later than July.
Final status negotiations would be completed by September 13, 2000, the original date stipulated in the Oslo Agreements. PA officials report that the United States has guaranteed that Israel would comply with the new timetable.

There has been no Israeli confirmation of the timetable given by the PA officials.
