What do "YOU" think?

     I was interested in "your opinion" on the contents of this page. I heard recently someone ask Hal Lindsey "his opinion" on the current Iraq war. He responded by saying he believed it was going to be a great victory for the U.S.A., which would result in the re-building of Iraq as a WORLD ECONOMY. If that's true, it "could" be 10-30 years before the beast rises according to Rev.13:1-4, commencing the "TIME OF THE END" found in Daniel 12:1-4, and Jesus return.
     I believe the reason the Lord will "recompense" Iraq according to her WORKS (Jer. 50:29), waste and utterly destroy her (Jer. 50:21): ...it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation. As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities thereof, saith the Lord; SO SHALL NO MAN ABIDE THERE, NEITHER SHALL ANY SON OF MAN DWELL THERIN (Jer. 50:39-40). This "most" severe judgement (wrath of God-Jer. 50:13, Rev. 6:17 occurring between 6th & 7th seals) will occur because of what I believe "the beast" will do to God's heritage in Jer. 50:11 (Israel: Jews & land) during the upcoming "great tribulation". The way I see it, this absolutely proves "the beast" will arise out of "Babylon and the land of the Chaldeans" (Iraq = Jer. 50:1). What else could it be that would make the Lord react so harshly and make that land (Iraq) to be no more inhabited FOR EVER (Jer. 50:39). My question is, will it happen soon, or years in the future? The beast will "someday" invade Israel, and "desolate" the land and the people. It will be a good pay back to the land of Iraq (Rev. 6:10). After all, the Lord speaks of the "up-coming" great tribulation ...For THEN shall be GREAT TRIBULATION (? 6 month-1 1/2 years?), SUCH AS WAS NOT SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD TO THIS TIME, NO, NOR EVER SHALL BE. And except those days be shortened (by start of The Day of the Lord -Rev. 8:1, Lev. 23:23-25), THERE SHOULD NO FLESH BE SAVED: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened (Matt. 24:21-22). Luke 21:23 says it this way...great distress in the LAND, and WRATH UPON THIS PEOPLE. The beast and his ARAB ARMYS (Ps.83: 2-8, Rev. 17: 12-14) will be repaid by Almighty God (Rev. 6:10), for the terrible atrocities they will inflict on Israel!
      MANY others, and myself have been intently looking for the commencement of these "end time events" to occur, which will precede "our gathering together unto him" (the rapture at "that day" in Vs. 3), according to 2Thess. 2:1-3. The question is, do you think the great tribulation could commence this Spring 2003, or might it be 10-30 years yet in the future, allowing time for BABYLON (Iraq) TO REBUILD AND BECOME A WORLD COMMERCE?
      As you know Daniel 11:36-45 tells us this "end time" king of the north (the beast) will arise out of the Selucid Kingdom (Syria/Iraq), And he (the beast) shall PLANT THE TABERNACLES OF HIS PALACE between the seas IN THE GLORIOUS HOLY MOUNTAIN (Jerusalem), yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him (Dan.11:45).
      As of this writing (03/22/03), Saddam's PALACES ARE BEING DESTROYED FROM THE "SHOCK and AWE" of operation Iraqi freedom (Rev 13:4? "war"?), which began by the "POSSIBLE" WOUNDING (Rev. 13:3?) OR "POSSIBLE" DEATH (Rev. 13:3?) OF SADDAM on 03/19/03 (Rev 13:3??). Only the Lord knows what will happen in the next MONTH or 30 YEARS. Again, the question is: Do you think Saddam could possibly be "the beast" which will PLANT THE TABERNACLES OF HIS PALACE in Jerusalem this Spring 2003, commencing the 1260 day "time of Jacob's trouble" (Jer. 30:7) in Daniel 12:1 & 12:7 ?
