What may be the length of "the last generation mentioned in Mt. 24.34?
Matt 24:32-35
Now learn a parable of the the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fullfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Gen 1:14-19
And God said, let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth. And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. (and the 4000th year)
2 Pet 3:8
But, beloved, not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Jesus Christ, "the Sun" of righteousness (Mal. 4:2), was introduced to the world as "the spiritual light of the world" in John 1:29-42, exactly 4000 years (or 4-days-2 Pet. 3:8) after "the sun," which produces "the physical light of the world," was revealed on the 4th day of creation in Genesis 1:14-19! Therefore, we have 4000 years of "his-story" to the birth of Jesus. Luke 3:23-38 lists the "76 sons" or generations in the genealogy of Jesus. To determine the average length of a generation, you simply divide 4000 years by "76" generations, which comes to 52.6315789473 years or 52 years, 231 days. Now modern Israel "the fig tree" (Hos. 9:10) "putteth forth leaves" hen she became a nation on May 14, 1948. When you add the average generation of 52 years and 231 days to the beginning point of the "last generation" (May 14, 1948 - Mt. 24:34), you arrive at the last day of the 6th Millennium, which is:
